I had been wanting to learn to play for a really long time, and I got this set for Christmas. It's a ton of fun. The set comes with ten or eleven basic songs. The chanter itself it comfortable and sounds pretty good. It only comes with one reed, but thats fine, i guess. Now I am saving for a full set and some more sheet music!

The bagpipe store support is really at the top. Having good products is important, but to give a service after sale of quality is better !

Good product, sound correct and good making. 5 stars for the learning book. The only weak point is the delivery dates of the article: 5 weeks before the end of the dispatch + 1 week of postal transit.

When I purchased my Blackwood Practice Chanter learning kit, I was worried that I might not succeed. I didn't have a tutor, I didn't have anyone to show me what it should sound like, or the fingerings etc.. I found that it came with a learning book, and CD that helped a lot. It required a lot more air pressure than I had first expected, as well as a whole lot of patience. However I adapted quickly; and I learned to enjoy it.
I love practicing in my free time during the day. The chanter is the best way to start learning the bagpipes! I am not sorry at all for buying it!
I'd recommend this product to anyone!
And I'd also recommend that unless you have a tutor, or already have the lung power, or know the pipe scale, Get the kit. Thank you scotweb!
