How we make it:*
Our Braemar jackets are made from top quality Barathea 100% pure new wool cloth, with a single button on the front, two side vents, cuffs with 3 buttons, pocket flaps with 3 buttons, and braided epaulettes with shiny silver (nickelplated) finished buttons. All buttons have washer and ring fittings.
When to wear it:
Also popular for being very versatile - you can alter the Braemar's formality by subtle accessories, so it is suitable for all sorts of occasions, such as dinners and Burns Suppers; balls, ceilidhs or other dances; weddings, graduations, or christenings; as well as Highland games or simply as general daywear.
What to wear it with:
Wear it during the daytime with a kilt in any tartan, a daywear sporran, and an ordinary collar and self-coloured tie (when footwear is a matter of choice). As more formal dress for evening events the Braemar jacket is best worn with a wing collar and bow tie, plus semi-dress sporran, and ghillie brogues are the appropriate choice for your feet. Like the Argyll, the Braemar jacket is generally worn open.

The jacket is great. Quite a generous fit on the shoulders which was good as my husband is a body builder and buying "off the peg" and unseen made us very nervous. Again, the measuring guides were very helpful.

I bought this package for my wedding and decided to get the Braemar jacket instead of the Prince Charlie to set myself apart a little bit from my Groomsman who will be wearing the Prince Charlie Jacket. And I am so glad too, I love this jacket, it looks so tough the way it's cut. The thing I like most though, are the braided rope Epaulet's on the shoulders!!! Very nice!! I'm a United States Marine and was debating on whether or not to wear minature medals on my jacket and now that I've tried it on, I will definitely be wearing them. This jacket is second in toughness and CDI factor (Chicks Dig It) only to the Marine Dress Blue's Jacket !!!

the jackett fits wonderfully and has a great classic look about it. a little heavy to wear on warmer days, but it goes well with any semi-formal to formal occasion.
